On April 1, 2010 I will embark on a six month journey that I've dreamt about for years. My goal: Thru hike the Appalachian Trail, northbound, from Georgia to Maine. My inspiration: The love of nature and the silence that allows one to hear more than you could ever imagine. My budget: Shoestring. My anticipation: Immense. My heart: Full. There is a journey in everyone’s life ... this one is mine.

Weather rolling in...
SEPTEMBER 15TH CONTINUED ...
As we climbed higher the clouds began to appear on the horizon. Soon we were surrounded and our lovely views were again obstructed by a white sea of mist and fog.
as luck wud hav it i went for the summit in bad weather.winds at 65mph,30deg temp,11deg wind chill,driving snow,poor visibility,wet slippery rocks,solo! thanks to u i had good shoes,wet pants etc. road was closed,took cog rail at 45 $ and ended up abt 60 miles from my car!
